SPRING WREATH

Hello!

For a really long time I have been using an old ink swatch book I made years ago.  It had turned into a hot mess - nothing added recently, too crowded, hastily organized.  So I dedicated a day a few weeks ago to dig every ink pad from every corner and restamp them all into a cleaner format. It led me to use these nice soft pastel chalk inks which I have re-fallen in love with!

TECHNIQUES

direct stamping  (wreath, banner, other words)
gradient stamping  (flowers) *

* this set came with a half-circle of flowers. I used a stationary stamp positioner to stamp it repeatedly, applying different colors with some overlap

die cutting (main panel)
alcohol marker shadowing  (banner)
glitter glue  (flower centers)
low profile foam mounting  (main panel)

SUPPLIES

wreath, flowers and banner stamps - Close to My Heart My Acrylix Spring set (retired)
i and you word stamps - unmarked clear set
torn edge die - Penny Black Antique Frame #51-397
inks - Stampin' Up! Creamy Caramel, VersaMagic chalk dewdrop Pretty Pastels and Fruit Cocktail sets
gray alcohol marker - Copic
glitter glue - Stickles Frosted Lace
low profile foam mounting tape

[This set is retired and I bought it pre-owned over a year ago :o) ]

Update:

And a brighter version that I put together first but it wasn't as soft as what I was going for:

TECHNIQUES

direct stamping  (wreath, banner, words)
gradient stamping  (flowers) *

* this set came with a half-circle of flowers. I used a stationary stamp positioner to stamp it repeatedly, applying different colors with some overlap

die cutting (main panel)
alcohol marker shadowing  (words) *

* I tried shadowing one side of each letter but it didn't work well due to the small space and cursive nature, so I just outlined everything to salvage it  LOL

ink swiping  (pink panel)
textured cardstock  (pink panel)

SUPPLIES

stitched die - My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Rectangles set
