Hello!
I rarely sit down and make just one card while supplies are out - this time it was three. I love when cards coordinate by color and theme but are totally different in layout and sometimes even style.
Whenever I'm suffering creator's block I pull out my clear glass tumbler of extra trimmings from previous cards and glue them to a spare white base of card stock, picking whatever shades match the closest holiday or occasion. (There are some cards from awhile back that I also made with this technique: HERE and HERE.)
I started with the panel on the bottom card - just colored card stock strips glued down to white cardstock. The pennant card was next using the leftover trimming off one edge of the striped panel where the strips hung over the base (the "string" is actually a tiny width of the white cardstock). The third card also used leftover trimmed off strips when I made the main striped panel a hair smaller, and a flower from the first card.
Since these cards are all different I'll include the Techniques and Supplies underneath each one.
