Tag and Colors Challenges

Manilla tag base. Stamped all elements in grey ink, masking as needed.  Used a mask of the border to swipe chalkboard white acrylic with a foam brush onto manilla cardstock in the triangle areas and along the side. Bird and phrase are pop-dotted.  Hat was made by swiping markers and cutting triangle shape.  Eggs were stamped on white cardstock with black ink, colored in with markers and taped down. White gel pen was used to highlight flower buds and eggs. Swished blue Distress ink onto sides with a waterbrush.

Circles and Silhouettes Challenges

I have always loved this image of these birds hanging out together.  When I saw it last night at Joann's and I had a good coupon I could not resist. Very happy with it!

Stamps:  Hampton Art phrase (#PS1103), Inkadinkado birds (97855 DD)

Inks: Distress Ink - Weathered Wood, Scattered Straw, Versafine Onyx Black

Copic Marker: Black

Other: Waverly white chalk acrylic, Sakura Gelly Roll white pen

1. Smooshed blue and yellow Distress Inks on an oven liner mat and misted with water.  Rested white cardstock on inks, pressing down, then allowed to air-dry.
2. Stamped birds and phrase in black ink, and also on a large post-it to use as a mask (I used Versafine but it was not fine - it smeared LOL). I used a Copic black marker to color the birds in thouroughly.
3. Used white chalk paint and a foam brush through a section of the metal ribbon shown.
4. Smooshed the yellow ink into white cardstock and punched a circle.
5. Sponged blue ink around top edges.
6. Added the ribbon (easiest to apply it flat and tie a separate knot on).
