direct stamping  (bees, background, small words, pattern on yellow letters)
die cutting  (Bloom letters, small bees)
fussy cutting  (large bee)
glitter glue  (large bee wings)
alcohol markers  (bees)
foam mounting  (large bee)

SUPPLIES

background stamp - Colorado Craft Company Big & Bold Daisy & Bee Bkgd #BB322
large bee stamp -  Ching '92 Bumble Bee #E1262
small bee stamps - Hero Arts Protea Flowers #CM448 clear set

And the original version, where I die cut the larger word:

TECHNIQUES

direct stamping  (bees, background, small words, pattern on yellow letters)
die cutting  (Bloom letters, small bees)
fussy cutting  (large bee)
glitter glue  (large bee wings)
alcohol markers  (bees)
foam mounting  (large bee)
heat embossing (words on black strip)
no heat foiling  (background highlights)
* this works like a dream for more abstract-y, loose application of foil accents if you're looking for a cheap way to get some good shine (see supplies below)

AUTUMN BLESSINGS

Hello, and welcome :o)

Thrilled to be playing along as a Guest Designer with the  TRY IT ON TUESDAY Challenge Blog - the theme is "Autumn Blessings"!  I have two cards to share with you:

CARD #1

Love the versatility of this style of figure - if you can't find the exact one there are lots that would substitute just as well.  I was super-tempted to dress her in pumpkin spice colors with stripe-y tights but I loved the contrast of the blues against the fall leaves. I had also considered gold embossing a pattern on some leaves.  Sounds like I have another card to work on... LOL

TECHNIQUES

die cutting (leaves), fussy cutting (figure), pop dotting, colored pencil (figure), white gel pen (polka dots)

SUPPLIES

figure stamp - Prima Julie Nutting "Holiday Bliss" set #911713
verse stamp - Stampendous "Bible Verses" set #SSC1339
leaf dies - Sizzix Thinlits #661206
blue ink - Adirondack Denim

Also playing along with the following Challenges:

(update - I made two more similar cards and they are HERE)

CARD #2

I had fun doing a little faux-foiling on this card. It really shines brightly in person and is quite textural!

TECHNIQUES

die cutting (stitched frame), distress ink wash (I smooshed pad onto large acrylic block, spritzed with water, smooshed a clear folder cover onto this and then dabbed the cardstock into the ink, one color at a time), faux-foiling (I pressed loose gold leafing into half-dried Tombow Mono Multi Glue and then dry brushed off the excess)

SUPPLIES

tree stamp - Character Constructions "Natural History 3" set
Autumn word stamp - Stampin' Up!
circle words stamp - Technique Tuesday "Infinite Wisdom Times to Treasure" set
stitched frame die - My Favorite Things
background inks - Distress dyes
circle words ink - Stampin' Up! Crushed Curry

Playing along with the following Challenges as well:
