BLESSED CHRISTMAS

Welcome to this 29 day series of Christmas cards for the 2021 holiday season, so glad you're here with me.  Hope you get lots of inspiration and entertainment right up to Christmas day!

Getting glam with today's card - lots of gold, and regal purple.

TECHINIQUES

preinked embossing folder (purple background)
ink blending (ornaments)
heat embossing (ornaments, sentiment)
die cutting (blessed - stacked a couple times)
fussy cutting (ornaments)
masking (ornaments so I'd have a white edge around the outline after ink blending)
patterned paper (greenish strip)

SUPPLIES

ornament stamps - Hero Arts Fancy Notes Heritage Ornaments set #LL882 plus Hanging Ornament single stamp #E2885
sentiment stamps - Hero Arts Stamp & Cut Merry set #DC170
die - Momenta #32265 R8
inks - Brilliance Galaxy Gold, Distress Oxides: Wilted Violet, Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers
folder - Sizzix for Stampin' Up!
patterned paper - Prima Firefly Collection #845216
powder - Ranger Gold
gold mirror cardstock - random
gold cording - random

And a plainer version, which I like, but I wish I’d extended the bulbs further down.
(I used a mix of gold metallic watercolor paints on the metal ornament collars)

Thanks for visiting today and I will see you back here tomorrow for another Christmas card!

SEUSS-Y STYLE TREES

Welcome to this 29 day series of Christmas cards for the 2021 holiday season - so glad you're here with me! Hope you get lots of inspiration and entertainment right up to Christmas day...

Love the glow of the matte silvery cardstock against the bright green trees. These cards are using up the scraps from the blue toned cards previously posted.  The silver cardstock started out as a long rectangle and the die cuts the zig zaggy trees so you end up with two slightly different tree borders - a positive image on the blue cards and a negative image shown here.

TECHNIQUES

die cutting (silver cardstock)
ink blending (trees)
ink splattering (watered down white acrylic on green panel)
heat embossing and foam mounting (sentiment)

SUPPLIES

die - Quikutz "Trees" border
sentiment stamps - Stampin' Up! random
inks - Distress Oxides
white acrylic paint
flat back faceted gems

SERENE SCENE

Welcome to this 29 day series of Christmas cards for the 2021 holiday season - so glad you're here with me! Hope you get lots of inspiration and entertainment right up to Christmas day...

This card uses an ink blended scrap left over from another project that will show up in coming days.  I love to leave scraps and mistakes laying around on my desk for a bit - they always seem to get made into something else that tickles me.

(This card is actually pure white in real life but the lighting was not ideal.)

TECHNIQUES

ink blending (sky)
die cutting (deer)

SUPPLIES

joy words - Hero Arts "Joy to All" #A2845
merry words (see below) - Stampin' Up! random
snowflake grouping stamp - Stampin' Up! "Serene Snowflakes" set
