CARD STOCK STRIP ELEMENTS X3

 Hello!

Well!  I'm officially still addicted to using up my random card stock scraps  :o)  Every time I make cards I pop the strips I trim off into a couple tumblers (white and colorful).  Whenever I want to craft but feel unmotivated, I spend some relaxing time gluing strips down to a base cardstock to use later on.  Usually inspiration strikes though during the process and I end the session with a few cards finished!

CHEERFUL DRINKS x4

Hello!

I love making a few cards with the same basic layout and images and then picking a favorite!

TECHNIQUES

basic stamping  (sentiments, pitcher and glass)

* For all these cards I overlaid the detailed stencil over a circle stencil, and then I started inking in the center and faded the inks out towards the edges.  On the yellow and green circles I used the blending brush to swish some of the same ink over the stenciled image to soften it.

Hello!

I made three versions of the same card, all using the same techniques, but I'll list the supplies separately with each one  :o)

* I die cut a circle from white cardstock, placed it over the card front, and stamped a background stamp over it. Then I used a blending brush to shade the circles in the same ink to give them some dimension)

*fuzzy effect is from using a wet brush on the inked image, and then it was highlighted  with colored pencil)

* colored cardstock strips were adhered to craft cardstock and then embossed)

*necessary because the cardstock was so soft, especially when embossed, that the low-tack tape I used when diecutting actually didn't come off without tearing the top paper layer
