Stolen Moments

I've always really loved these images.  I believe I got them in 2005. Their cuteness is timeless  :o)


Playing along with the following challenge:



STAMPS: 
penguins - Art Impressions (#G-3060 & G-3061), ice block - Stampin' Up! "Cold & Cuddly" set, phrase - Verses Rubber Stamps (#BB0411-C)

INKS: Memento Tuxedo Black, Distress Ink Faded Jeans, Stormy Sky, Weathered Wood and Black Soot

MARKERS:  Copic

OTHER: Stickles Silver Glitter, Sakura Gelly Roll white pen

1.  Stamp penguins once on white cardstock and once on Post-It notes for masking. 
2.  Place masks over penguins and stamp ice block.
3.  Cut snowline mask from scrap and apply temporarily over penguin masks.
4.  Starting with lightest ink sponge cardstock.  Follow with other inks as shown.
5.  Use black ink to stamp phrase.
6.  Dot white pen onto sky area.
7.  Remove all masking and color penguins in with markers. Shade as needed.
8.  Add glitter glue to ice block and allow to dry.
9.  Layer to white cardfront using foam tape.

Temptation



Playing along with the following challenge:



STAMPS:  cat - Coronado Island Stamps (#W001-H), word - Westwater Enterprises (94-02-11642), lights - Rubber Stampede (#A2606D), foliage - Stampin' Up! from "Watercolor Winter" set 

INKS: Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin' Up! Gumball Green, Versamark



MARKERS: Copic



OTHER: circle punch, Ranger Glossy Accents, Recollections Snow embossing powder, Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen and sparkle pen, Judikins Color Duster

1.  Stamp lights on white card front, stamping again on Post-It note for a mask. 
2.  Trim bulbs from Post-It and place over stamped image on card.
3.  Overstamp foliage in green ink and use stipple brush to fill in around edges.
4.  Color bulbs with marker and apply Glossy Accents.  Allow to dry.
5.  Highlight bulbs with white gel pen and use sparkle pen around outside edges.
6.  Stamp cat on card front using black ink.
7.  Color and shadow cat with markers.
8.  Stamp word on black cardstock using embossing ink. Sprinkle with embossing powder and use heat tool to set.
9.  Punch word out with circle punch and pop-dot to card.

Cold nose, warm heart

Ugh, almost all my cards are pure white IRL and on my iphone… I even tried a photo tent on this round! Bear with me - I WILL conquer this LOL


Playing along with the following challenges:










STAMPS: child - 100 Proof Press, (#W 6235), phrase - PSX (#B-3052), trees - Hero Arts "Snowy Trees" (#F 611), window - Stampin' Up!

INKS: Distress Inks Faded Jeans, Broken China and Tumbled Glass, Memento Tuxedo Black

MARKERS: Copics

OTHER: Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen and sparkle pen, bone folder, water mister, acetate sheets

STEPS:
1. Smoosh blue inkpads onto window block stamp and spritz lightly with water.

2. Press stamp onto white cardstock and hold down for a few seconds to transfer all ink.
3. Mask pane borders and stamp trees in darkest blue ink.
4. Fill tree snow in with white gel pen, and stars with sparkle pen.
5. Stamp child image onto white cardstock scrap and color in with markers.
6. Highlight image with white gel pen and fussy cut around it.
7. Pop dot image to card as shown and draw shadow under feet with lightest grey marker.
8. Stamp phrase in black ink.
9. Use bone folder to score around panel as shown.

Toads, Frogs...it's all love!

Card for hubby, who loves all things cute
Card is white IRL, and eyeballs are covered with gloss medium.



Playing along in the following challenges:






STAMPS: Stampin' Up! set "Unfroggetable" 

INKS: Stampin' Up! Barely Banana, Memento Tuxedo Black

MARKERS: Copic

OTHER: Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen, metal ribbon, Ranger Glossy Accents


1. Stamp frog on white cardstock, and off-stamp on Post-It for a mask.
2. Trim mask and place over frog image.
3. Lay stencil down and use dauber to sponge ink over and around mask, fading towards the edges.
4. Use black ink to stamp sentiment.
5. Unmask frog and color in with markers.
6. Highlight areas with white gel pen.
7. Appy gloss to eyeballs and allow to dry.
8. Layer with green panel to white cardfront.

Blessed Season

I cut the circle out so I could pop-dot the frame up higher, which gives it a lot of dimension when viewed in person, and you can easily see red around the blue dot frame when it is at an angle.

OTHER:
circle punch, Ranger Enamel Accents, Sakura white gel pen

1. Use black ink to stamp critters wherever desired.
2. Use circle punch or die cut to punch image out.
3. Color in the image with markers, and use white gel pen to add dots to scarf.
4. Use dark blue marker to add dots around the edge of the circle.
5. Use the blue inkpad to stamp snowflakes as shown. 
6. Use the black inkpad to stamp the sentiment.
7. Lay both pieces on the red cardstock. Affix the image panel with flat tape and the sentiment panel with foam tape.
8. Affix red panel to white cardfront.
9. Add enamel accent dots to center of snowflakes and allow to dry.

Colorful Beauties


I recently picked up a pack of 2 Ranger Distress Oxide Spray inks the other day and I am nearly in love LOL 
If I could afford it I would go buy the entire line immediately!!

Also, something else I am amazed and inspired by is Tracy Evans work. 


Following these CHALLENGES:

STAMPS: poppies - Stampin' Up! "Pleasant Poppies" background stamp, dots - Stampin' Up! "Extreme Elements" set, phrase - PSX (#D-2611)

INKS: Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo, Memento Tuxedo Black, StazOn Stone Gray, VersaMagic Cloud White, Distress Oxide Sprays in Spiced Marmalade & Picked Raspberry

MARKERS: Copic

OTHER: Sakura Gelly Roll white pen, white paint pen, Micron #03 black pen, Ranger foam blender, Stampin' Up! circle punches


1. Spray white cardstock with sprays and allow to dry.  Spritz lightly with water.
2. Ink tiny circles stamp with pink ink and stamp randomly.
3. Stamp partial poppies with black ink and color in with markers.
4. Punch circles from scrap cardstock, saving negative mask as well.
5. Using circles punched out and foam blender, brush pink ink onto circles and away from the edges. Remove all but large circle.
6. Leaving large circle over poppies, overstamp section of poppy stamp in gray ink as shown. Remove large circle mask.
7. Using reverse mask (the cardstock you punched circles from) ink tiny dots stamp with white ink and stamp within small circles.
8.Use black pen to draw dots around circles.
9. Stamp phrase in black ink.
10. Use paint pen or gel pen to draw in white dots across image on a diagonal.

Love in the Autumn Air


Following the guidelines for Challenge below but a little too late to enter card in:





STAMPS: background, tree and critter - Stampin' Up! "Woodgrain", "Love Bandits" set

INKS: Stampin' Up! Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Mellow Moss

MARKERS: Copic

OTHERS: paper piercer, white Sakura gel pen, hole punch, Ranger foam ink blender


1.  Stamp tree with green and brown inks.
2. Color tree leaves and tree trunk in with markers, and add grass and shadowing.
3. Use white gel pen to add highlights to leaves.
4. Use circle punch to punch out tree image and sponge caramel and brown inks around edges. 
5. Use paper piercer to punch small holes around circle edge and connect the dots with white gel pen for faux stitches.
6. Stamp woodgrain background on caramel cardstock and sponge corners lightly with brown ink.
7. Use paper piercer to pierce holes around border.
8. Use brown ink to stamp critter with phrase in lower corner of white cardstock panel and color flowers in with markers.
9. Affix panels as shown.

Penguin Love



I always find it easier to start a card with a nice fresh sketch, especially on tired days.

Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin' Up! Taken with Teal, Not Quite Navy, Brocade Blue, Ballet Blue

MARKERS: 
Copic

OTHER: 
Enamel Accents in black, Sakura Gelly Roll pen in white, Stampin' Up! circle punches, fingertip blender


PROCESS:

1. Stamp penguins in black ink on white cardstock, and again on a Post-It note for masking.
2.  Trim mask so only white areas on adult penguins show when placed on top of main stamping. Remove mask.
3. Use blue inks and snowflake stamps to fill in belly/chest areas. Use fingertip dauber and teal ink to shade. Use white pen to highlight center of snowflakes.
4. Use markers to fill in yellow areas and draw a heart on the little guy. Use grey markers to fill in shadows and borders as shown.
5. Using teal ink, stamp large snowflake on white card, and smaller snowflakes on cardstock scraps.  Punch these out, centering.
6. Stamp phrase on a turquoise strip of cardstock in black ink, and cut a square to go underneath main panel as a border.
7. Affix all components as shown and dot center of circles with the black enamel accents.  Allow to dry.

Beach Joy


Entering this card into the following CHALLENGES:




STAMPS: children - unmarked, joy - A Muse "Joy hand" (#6-8167B), poem - Inky Antics (M1-1809-2K)

INKS: Distress Scattered Straw and Weathered Wood, Stampin' Up! Bordering Blue, VersaMark, Memento Tuxedo Black

OTHER: Recollections Snow detail embossing powder, Recollections bling stickers, Martha Stewart "Mermaid" stencil 


1. Smoosh Distress inks onto craft mat and spritz with water. Lay white cardstock face down and press to absorb inks.  Let dry.
2. Stamp poem on white cardstock repeatedly in Bordering Blue ink. Trim to fit black card and affix.
3. Use stencil to apply Scattered Straw ink to poem area. 
4. Stamp poem on black cardstock using Versamark and white embossing powder. Trim out desired words into rectangles.
5. Stamp children on multicolor panel, and tear along bottom edge. Affix to cardfront.
6. Punch a circle from scrap yellow distressed panel and sponge around edge with yellow ink.
7. Stamp Joy on circle with black ink and pop-dot to panel. 
8. Affix gems to cardfront as desired.

Tropical Retirement

This isn't me but I wouldn't mind if it was ;o) 
Also, I could do paper-piecing all day long!

Inspired by, and entering, the following CHALLENGES:





Stamps: Art Impressions penguins (#P-3158), River City Rubber Works "Retirement Means" (#3024-G)

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin' Up! Daffodil Delight

Markers: Copic as shown

Other: JudiKins brush dauber, patterned paper (maker unknown)


1. Stamp image on patterned paper. Trim and apply to stamped image on white card. (I like to run a black marker around all trimmed edges to avoid a halo effect.)
2. Use markers to color image.
3. Punch a circle from scrap cardstock and sponge yellow ink on outside top and sides. (I did do a partial mask on the male penguin so I didn't get any sun on him LOL)
4. Trim around image into modified rectangle, leaving sun intact.
5. Layer onto card with patterned paper strips and turquoise panel.
6. Use black ink to stamp phrase.
