Hello!
I’ve been waiting a long time to use some of this patterned paper - I love it but it is so busy! I kind of like the downtown-at-night feeling it gives here. The SHINE in person is brilliant but it’s very cloudy today and doesn’t show up well.
Playing along with this Sunday Stamps #380 sketch challenge
SHINE was cut from a Duck brand roll of sticky back glitter paper attached to scrap cardstock, and then adhered to the shadow cut from shimmer white vellum. YOU was cut from yellow cardstock twice for dimension and covered with Distress Stickles in Clear Rock Candy. I’ve found the easiest way for me to do paper weaving on a card is to glue the very ends of the horizontal strips on one edge only, weave the upright strips, then start gluing just the bottom ends of the those strips. After making sure the vertical strips are all straight and dry, it’s time to glue the other end of the horizontal strips. I don’t find any need to glue the center sections of the horizontal strips because when the vertical strips are glued at the longer end as well, everything is secure enough.
